DTN COMMENTS:  Well, it is not looking like a typical Monday, a few deals 
have been reported sold in parts of Kansas at $260, $3 higher than last 
week's weighted averages. There are live bids on the table in all other major 
feeding areas, also at $260.

New showlists appear to be mixed higher in Texas, but lower in Kansas and 
Nebraska/Colorado. Formula totals for last week are mixed, higher in Kansas 
and Texas, but lower in Nebraska: KS 73,730(+6,452), NE 32,520(-2,778), TX 
70,825 (+4,585). Total trade volume was higher in all three major feeding 
areas:  KS 87,419(+9,278), NE 65,957(+3,362), TX 76,066(+4,124).

Beef cutouts are higher at midday (Choice 390.66 +2.27, Select 389.75 +4.74), 
with light box movement (28.66 lds of choice cuts, 4.26 lds of select cuts, 
9.44 lds of trim, and 10.79 lds of ground). At this time, both live and 
feeder cattle contracts are mostly sharply lower, the lone exceptions are the 
spot Jun live contract is modestly higher, and the spot May feeder issue is 
up moderately.
